Day 1 Nairobi - Masai Mara
Depart Nairobi in the morning for a journey south through the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Picnic lunch at Narok. Arrive Mara for late afternoon game viewing enroute. Early evening game drive is taken. Dinner and overnight at campsite.
Day 2 Masai Mara Full day
Full day in the park in search of the Big Five. Meals and overnight at campsite. (Optional visit the Masai Village in the afternoon or to see the animal.)
Budget tour adventure to Kenya’s most popular game reserve – Maasai Mara National Reserve or the Mara as its popularly known.
Go deep into the African plains and set out on daily game drives across the park. All the Big Five (the lion, leopard, rhino, elephant & buffalo, ) are here with many mammals and birds.
Watch for the animals that emerge at dusk, see hippos and crocodiles along the banks of the Mara River. The game reserve is home to high population of the big cats & the famous wildebeest migration.
Day 1 Nairobi – Sweetwaters Game Sanctuary
This morning we depart Nairobi and proceed north, driving through lush tea and coffee estates to Sweetwaters Conservancy. Sweetwaters land, the Ol Pejeta Conservancy and its sumptuous ranch were once the private domain of famed multi-millionaire, Adnan Kashoggi. We visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a charming haven established by the Jane Goodall Institute to provide sanctuary to orphaned chimps, and the specially protected and fenced refuge of black rhino with its stunning forty specimens! In fact Sweetwaters boasts excellent game viewing with the highest ratio of game to area of any park or reserve in Kenya. Moreover, the Sanctuary has several private waterhole and salt lick so we’ll be guaranteed unprecedented close encounters. Whether its day or night game drives, camel trekking, lion tracking, al fresco dining or relaxing by pool, Sweetwaters is bound to delight.
Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli National Park Safari
This trip starts with a pick up from the airport or from your Nairobi Giraffe Manor lodge by 09: 00 Hours after breakfast, we depart by road and drive through the scenic Athi Plains and into the bush country of Amboseli National Park.
The park is home to the legendary Masai tribesmen and famous for huge herds of Elephant.
1200 Hours: We will be arriving at a good time for lunch, later followed by relaxation sessions, swim, and enjoy the camps/lodge grounds.
1500 Hours: We have our afternoon tea/ coffee/ hot chocolate before setting out on the afternoon game drive till dusk.
Day 1 Nairobi - Tsavo West National Park
Today we depart Nairobi or Mombasa and drive to Tsavo West National Park arriving in time for lunch at our lodge or Camp. An afternoon game is planned until sunset. Tsavo West National Park covers 20,808sq km (8,034sq miles), The Park comprises a diversity of habitats, open plains alternating with savannah bush and semi-desert scrub; acacia woodlands; rocky ridges and outcrops. With a permanent water source, the park is virtually guaranteed enormous herds and excellent game viewing including cheetah, lion, leopard and hyena and a herd of over 3,500 elephants.
